WCA Mission (National and WCA-Texas)
The mission of the Women's Caucus for Art is to create community through art, education, and social activism.
We are committed to
• recognizing the contributions of women in the arts
• providing women with leadership opportunities and professional development
• expanding networking and exhibition opportunities for women
• supporting local, national, and global art activism
• advocating for equity in the arts for all
The Women’s Caucus for Art – Texas (WCA-Texas) is a chapter of the fifty-three-year-old national organization, Women’s Caucus for Art. The mission of the Women’s Caucus for Art is to create community through art, education, and social activism.
Currently the new Texas chapter has 38 members from all other the state. Nine Board members lead the organization in meeting its mission. WCA-Texas is fully volunteer, and open to all who love art, create art, teach art, and/or promote art. The TEXAS WCA particularly encourages women and those who identify as women to join so that WCA-Texas can help further their art career. WCA-Texas is a 501c3 non-profit.

• Free Second Saturday Programs (a $200 value) sponsored by National
• Online seminars and workshops sponsored by Texas chapter
• Participation in art-centered book bi-monthly club through WCA National
• Receive a monthly email digest Pulse from National and a bi-monthly newsletter from WCA-Texas
